Applicants must have at least a cumulative GPA of 3.0
Applicants’ major must be in recreation, wellness, or similar degree field.
Applicants must write a brief essay on why they deserve the scholarship and what they plan to use the funds for, and then attach it to the application.
Graduating seniors or graduate students may use the scholarship for professional development if prior approval by board. Applicant must be a student from an institutional member.
Applicant does not have to possess student membership in LCIRSA.
Professional members attending school and meet the above requirements may apply for the scholarship.
Applicants will be nominated to the executive board no less than thirty (30) days out from the bi-annual conference and tournament.
Applicants will be voted on electronically by professional institution members no less fifteen (15) days out from the bi-annual conference and tournament.
The executive board will present the scholarship to the selected winner at the bi-annual business meeting.
